Instead of studying for my Art Hist test on Friday I spent all day yesterday playing FFVIII and watching the Cowboy Bebop movie with Den and by golly, I wouldn'tve had it any other way. That just means that tonight and tomorrow will be very studious. Or should be, at least. ^_^;

AAAAAAAAAH HOMEMADE COOKIES
You see, I came home to discover that my mom sent me a care package full of awesome stuff, including cookies! Yes, cookies! Oh god I love them but I'm sick (still) so I shouldn't eat many of them but it's hard not to...!
Becca and I hung out yesterday before I left, and I'm glad I got to see her one last time (as always). I got to meet her friend Erika the day before, she was really neat. I got kinda odd vibes from her, but maybe I was just paranoid.
I got in last night by catching a ride with Lauren, the daughter of one of my parents' friends who I didn't know at all but we ended up talking the entire 2.5-hour ride down, and she's really really nice! It was a fun trip. She even let me play the Utena movie soundtrack in the car. ^_^
Yesterday before I left Dad and Suzy surprised me with a television for my birthday next month! I love it so much! I got my PSX hooked up and I'm playing through FFVIII again with all the cheats (I played it through the first time without help, so I earned it) to see if it's as awful as I remembered and also simply to see the characters, 'cause Seifer and Zell are hot. ...Cool, I mean. Cool.
I also got... my Cowboy Bebop movie in the mail and I can't wait to see it and aieeeeeeeeeee IT'S HERE IT'S HERE HOLY JESUS I ALREADY LOVE IT JUST BY TOUCHING IT.
Oh, and Matt's trying to adopt a cat from his friend. We'll see how this goes... Now I am getting my sick ass into bed. Nini!

I'm home at my dad's for Fall Break and caught the flu just in time to make the bus-ride up completely miserable. ^_^ But that's okay, because I got to hang out with Becca all day!
I've spent most of the past couple days seeing Den, hoarding Cowboy Bebop movie music and nabbing the movie on VHS from eBay so that it should be waiting for me when I get home. And now I'm feeling pretty crappy again, so it's bedtime for me.

It's almost the weekend, hot damn! We had a critique in Painting today, the first one I've actually attended-- I slept right through the first one (whoops) and was sick on the day of the second one (ack). I was quite glad to be there this time.
Spent most of the day doing work on aaronsite.4, which is close to being finished, and reading The Grass Dancer off and on for Lit class, though it isn't too great. I got a B on my Anthro test, a B- on my Art History test and an A on a Lit quiz I didn't even study for, so maybe I do have a shot at Dean's List again after all...

I spent most of the weekend with Den and didn't do much of anything else, really. Matt told me tonight that he and Chris plan to be officially engaged this Christmas, and I dunno what I feel about that. If they're happy, though, then I'm happy for them. Right now I'm exhausted and I'm gonna crawl into bed.

I bombed my tests soooo badly. I think I can toss my goal of making Dean's List every semester out the window now, because I sure don't see it happening this one...
On a lighter note, though, Den and I had Chinese for dinner at a Thai place and then saw Iron Monkey. The movie is two parts Crouching Tiger, one part Mortal Kombat, and entirely silly and unintentionally hilarious in many parts: I was cracking up through a lot of the last half of it. And the strange thing is, I didn't mind! Once I realized that it was a campy Kung Fu version of Crouching Tiger, it made it much easier to enjoy.
Walking along Atlanta Highway between the bus stop and my house, a car pulled onto the margin and beeped at me and it was Dana from my job last year! I jumped in and we went to the store, where she was headed, and hung out for a bit. She's cool as always. It was awesome to see her again.
I'm still messing with the new site. Check here to see my progress!

Oh yeah, and happy National Coming Out Day! Try to steer clear of the anthrax.

I'm having some problems at the moment. -_- For a couple weeks now I've been sleeping terribly, and now it's really catching up to me. I have two big tests tomorrow but all week, whenever I've sat down to study for them, I've fallen asleep. So now I'm exhausted and stressed out. Wish me good karma until 3:20 tomorrow afternoon, because for better or worse my tests will be over then!

I'm having Apple Dapples for breakfast. I just wanted to share that.

Friday was just an awesome day. I drifted through all of my classes easily, and everywhere else I had my discman fired up and pumping the new Garbage CD into my ears. There's something really pure and cathartic about "Parade" for me-- not the lyrics so much as the simple sound of it-- and it puts me in a good mood whenever I hear it.
Yesterday was pretty hectic. My parents drove down to visit and we did things like have spare keys made, build some wall-mounted shelving in my room, install a neat sliding curtain over the huge window in the wall overlooking the living room and get paint so I can touch up some of the rough spots in the house. And it was all well and good, but I sort of feel like we were too busy; I want them to come in order to see me, not to spruce up my house. Still, it was a good day. They met Den over dinner and I think everything went pretty well. They told me that they really liked him, which is always nice to hear.
Today I sat on my ass and wrote. All day. And I liked it, too.

Den and I went to an hour-long lecture at the Georgia Museum of Art on American statuary which was pretty cool. Did you know that you can't use pens inside the museum because they don't want them to explode? And you know they wouldn't have a rule like that unless it's happened before... After the lecture we got Chinese for dinner (mmmm, Orange Chicken), and the fortune in my cookie was: "Just be yourself; you are wonderful." That's the nicest cookie I've ever eaten.

I completely did not mention that before Bec and I left for the con, I wrote Matt a huge letter about everything that had happened between us and how bad I felt about it all, and when I got back from the con, he apologized to me and everything reverted to the way it was-- which is excellent! We're talking and hanging out again, and realizing how much I had been bitching about hating him and not wanting anything to do with him made me realize how important he truly is to me, and how glad I am that things are on the right track again. I was so hurt by everything that had gone on. We went out last night and I got some suspenders because they're awesome, and I also got-- the new Garbage CD which came out yesterday that I had been waiting for for, oh, years. ^_^ And after my initial fright, I'm warming up to it. It's a very odd CD. Their first was industrial, the second was pop, and this is something like pop-meets-music-history. The variety is really awesome, but some of the songs are kinda thin, and the lyrics aren't often that great. On tracks like "Parade" they show they can still do fantastic, catchy rock-- it just makes me sad that they don't do it more often anymore. ._. But oh well, they're my favorite band and I love them regardless.
Thespark.com has a new IQ test and I got a 129, which isn't bad. Take it and see how you do! ^_^

I'm here I'm here I'm here I swear I am I really am! Well, to summarize the week I spent not updating: The con was awesome. We got to hang with Erin and Kei and Manna and Manna's neat roommates Joy and Brian and we all had much fun. I got sick after the con and missed some school, but I went to the clinic early on and got some meds and now I'm almost good as new. I got an 85 on my Art History test and spent a lot of this past weekend helping Den get moved into his new house (I got to drive his Mercedes to it >:D) and there you have it! Now you're caught up.
Right now I'm pretty engrossed in "Song of Solomon" by Toni Morisson ... uh... or maybe it's Morrison or Morrisson, one of the three, but yeah, anyway, it's neat stuff. I'm also still working on aaronsite.4, and it's kindasorta near completion, and... now I'm gonna go read more. <3
