The past couple days have been filled with much Mattage. We ducked into EB on Friday to see if they had Guilty Gear X and left with GGX, Kessen, Zone of the Enders and a PS2! The PS2 is Matt's but the GGX is mine. *_* I had no idea they sold preowned PS2s there-- only $260, which means $40 less for me to earn before I can get my own! I sorted out $18 from my loose change bottle and returned some textbooks for $40.
TOTAL PLAYSTATION 2 FUND: $108
Kessen and Zone of the Enders are awesome, by the way. We played ZOE almost nonstop for the past two days and beat it last night at 1. Definitely worth playing.

Check it out, I made it! The drive wasn't bad at all, just two hours and forty-five minutes long. Matt and I had dinner and I gave him his gifts which he very much liked; he's getting me Guilty Gear X. *_* His mom got me the Final Fantasy Movie special edition DVD because she thought I was going to be getting a DVD player. Even though I don't have one yet I will soon and I'm just honored she got me something at all! And hey, I also came home to find $50 of Christmas money in the mail from various relatives.

I moseyed to the mall to mail some stuff and play a couple bucks' worth of TK4, and now I'm drifting around packing for my trip back to GA tomorrow morning to see Matt and hang out at home (my home anyway) for a couple days. Hence I am taking a vacation from my vacation to the place where I'm taking a vacation from.
Hey, anyone wanna by a pair of cool authentic camo pants? No joke...

Last night I dreamt I was in the high school nurse's office with a fever. She put a thermometer needle of some kind in my wrist and taped it in place, saying it would be 45 minutes until the reading would be accurate. I sat on the table for half an hour but then slid off it-- the floor was suddenly covered with leaves and I had to sweep them up. As I was sweeping, though, the time was up and the nurse came, but she told me my temperature wasn't accurate because of the exhertion from sweeping. I was sent to the office and walked in to find the principal and some of the faculty sitting in a circle on the floor and talking loudly while eating pepperoni pizza. They asked me to join them and I said no, but suddenly I was in the circle with them, my own pizza in front of me, and I started eating. That was it.

I watched America's Sweethearts with my family and by golly, it wasn't a bad movie! At least not for a romantic comedy, which I normally despise immediately.
On AOL's welcome window they have a section devoted to voting on the best Hollywood break up of 2001. And I think that's fucking pathetic. Anyone who wants to make a hobby out of the private (and occaisionally painful) lives of stars needs to get a life. If AOL was a bitch I would smack her right down.

^___^ Jess and Rudi got here and we all opened our presents! Jess and Rudi gave me a gift card to Target which I will of course put towards a PS2. And Dad gave me an awesome reverisble CD holder for the car, in addition to the TV they gave me a couple months ago. I gave Dad the first Harry Potter book since he wanted it, Suzy an awesome scarf from the Gap, and Rudi and Jess a really nice pan and a bagel jar. They all seemed to like their gifts! I'm very happy. Now if Becca's present would decide to show up sometime soon I would be very very happy.
In other news, according to MSN in February both Queen of the Damned (sequel to Interview with the Vampire) and Crossroads (that shitfaced Britney-- ACK COMPANY!

I feel a little better than I did yesterday even though I didn't get hardly any sleep because my nose was all gunky. I want a Playstation 2. Becca is coming over later and that thought alone can cheer me up. My sister and bro-in-law are driving up today too from Atlanta and I'll be glad to see them. I want a Playstation 2. And I'm gonna give my mom a call in a minute which should be nice too. I need a Playstation 2.

Dad and I went out for groceries and that's about the only time today I've left the computer room/my temporary bedroom. I don't have the energy to do anything. I'd drive to the mall and play Tekken 4 but it's probably closed by now. I called Bec to see if she wanted to hang out but she's not there, and Stephen's in Michigan, and Monica and Mollie are out of town too. I guess I'll make myself dinner and sit here and continue to be blah. I'd give anything to be cuddling on the couch with Matt and watching a movie right now. And it'll be three or four more days until I get to drive down and see him.

Dad and I saw Lord of the Rings yesterday. I'm sure there's not much I can say that other people haven't already-- it's an awesome story, it has great characters and it's very well done. (Dad and I both agreed that Legolas is The Man.) I think my only complaint was the foreshadowing (just for things within this movie, granted) was way too obvious. I still can't get over the fact it was three hours long; Harry Potter felt like two years, but LOTR felt like two seconds, although just the fact that LOTR isn't made for kids puts it well ahead of Harry Potter and Star Wars both. If you plan to see it I would recommend you see it in a month or so, though, unless you like being in packed theatres where people are constantly eating, getting up to go to the bathroom or getting calls on their fucking cell-phones. -_- And the previews were for a) the new Steven Spielberg movie, b) the new M. Night Shyamalan movie, c) Blade 2, d) Episode II and e) the new Austin Powers movie. A B and E I will flock to, C and D I'll duck into for a laugh. The new movie front is looking very good.

Becca and I can't stop thinking about Guilty Gear X. We'll be hanging out and talking about something else and suddenly it will just pop up in conversation and make us sulk. She was going to rent a PS2 last night but they were out of them and didn't have GGX out to rent anyway. I brought up the notion of buying a PS2 to my dad and he completely freaked out, which means in the end that I will have to find things to sell (like those couple hundred doujinshi from over the summer) and get a job so that I can get one. But whatever! I can do it. I want to be able to buy anime on DVDs like cool people and maybe play Guilty Gear X. ;_; A DVD player is around $150 which isn't too costly and a PS2 is $300 but plays DVDs too... Damn the 21st century and its hoarde of awesome machines for me to buy!!

The car no longer makes funny noises when I turn the wheel but it does shudder when I brake, so back in the shop it goes, relatively soon. Stephen came over to Bec's yesterday with his PS2 and brought Guilty Gear X and oh gosh, I need a PS2 now. That's all there is to it. It's so fun to play and the character designs are so gorgeous! Faust is the man, dude. You think I'm kidding. He brought over Final Fantasy X, too, which was very very pretty though I didn't think it was anything too special. But then I'm still pretty Square-jaded after that pile of horse vomit called FFVIII. Dad is coming home in half an hour and then we get to have lunch and go shopping, yiyiyi!

Went to bed at five, was interrupted with phone calls all morning, finally got up at noon and yet I feel totally rested. What the hell! I think I'm just psyching myself out. I spent all morning doing absolutely nothing and boy is it fun. In an hour I get to pick up my car from the shop and it will no longer make funny noises when I turn the wheel or shake when it's idling! Yaaaay! And tonight I get to go to hang out at Becca's family's Christmas party! Yaaaay! Buther present still hasn't come yet and I feel really bad. Booo. ;_;

My god I'm tired. I don't know what it is, maybe I'm just not getting enough sleep! I don't know why I feel sedated half the time. But anyway, Bec and Monica and I saw Not Another Teen Movie tonight. I don't think it's quite as hilarious as Scary Movie but there were numerous parts where I had to muffle my shrieking laughter in my hat. I hope I never, ever lose my capacity for immature, tounge-in-cheek and toilet humor. And then the three of us watched a bunch of Invader Zim, and I'm just so joyful that they appreciate that show as much as me. AND FOR CHRISTMAS Becca gave me a Marshimaro notebook and keychain and I still just can't get over how awesome they are. <3 <3 <3 If you too would like to know the amazing world of Marshimaro, you have only to click here!

Dad and I dropped my car off for the work, and hopefully it'll be finished by tomorrow. I miss it already. I've spent today and last night just sorta relaxing by myself, moreso from need rather than by choice. Whenever I hang out with anyone for a long while I eventually start to drift off and get quiet, and I always feel bad about it. It isn't that I'm bored or tired of the company-- most of the time the opposite's true. I haven't seen Becca in ages, I always want to see her and I'm sure as hell not bored! My sister told me she has the same problem; if she doesn't get time to herself she starts zoning out. It's probably just some sort of psychological brainfart. -_- But on a lighter note, tonight Bec and I are gonna go see LotR and/or Not Another Teen Movie and I can't wait!

G'morning! Monica and I spent the night at Bec's so we could watch Antinos TV this morning but I groaned and rolled over and slept right through it, because we were up till 4:30 watching the Bebop movie and Invader Zim and listening to music and what-not. But I was actually the first person to get up! Monica and Bec are still lounging on the bed, but I made it all the way to the computer.
My car is going into the shop on Tuesday so a couple little things can be checked out. Saddog!
I really, really miss Matt.

You know, I don't see why I still call my boyfriend by a nickname because he shares the same name as my roommate who I never talk to or write about. From now on Den is Matt and Matt is The Roommate. Oh and by the way: check this out, and if you don't believe it's true check out the listing on the IMDb. How about that Genre listing! Yeah, this'll be a real piece of work.

I spent all morning driving around in my newwwww caaaaar. ^_^ New as in new for me. It's a 1991 Dodge Spirit ES, but when it came out it was super-top-of-the-line. It has an electronic panel that gives a bunch of read-outs I'll probably never use, a CD player with a dettachable front, power everything... it's awesome. In desperate need of a good cleaning, but still awesome. I have a car! Eeee-eeeee-eeeeeeEEEEEEEE
So now that it's tomorrow, I'll talk about Tekken 4 and Harry Potter. First you must know that I am rather obssessed with Tekken, so of course I awaited Tekken 4 eagerly for months. For a month or two after it came out I talked to the owners of all the local gamerooms and none of them planned to get it, but then last week I walked into the student center gameroom and zhoop, there it was! In the end I don't think it's as good as TK3 gameplay-wise, but everybody in that game is just too damn sexy for their own good. Hence I think I probably enjoy it even more than TK3. And as for the Harry Potter movie, Den and I saw the movie a couple nights and it's a good movie. It's entertaining, even though I spent two and a half hours watching it and left feeling nothing (except prolonged amusement from the movie's one act of slapstick humor). Afterwards Den and I debated the "evilness" of Slytherin. He says they're evil, I say they're smart. Consider the Quiddich game. Everyone says that it's a dangerous game and for players to be prepared, and yet when Slytherin plays to win everyone gets upset. Isn't that hypocritical? As though a competitive sport is supposed to ahold to the rules of etiquette. People can knock Slytherin all they want, but I have pride! Almost makes me want to read the books for the Sltherin parts. >_< Dammit...

You want to know what I did the past two days? Well I'll tell you!
Yesterday I took a taxi to the DMV to get my Georgia license. Except I didn't have the right paperwork. So I had to walk a third of a mile in the rain to a gas station and call my dad. Then I walked back to the DMV and got their fax number. Then I walked back to the gas station and gave it to dad. Then I walked back to the DMV and once Dad faxed the right form, I got my license, and then hopped a cab to get home. Today I walked to the insurance agency (right down the road, luckily) and got my car insurance squared away. From there I took a taxi to the tag agency with my shiny new license and insurance forms, except it was closed for a Christmas lunch and I had to sit on my ass for an hour. But then I finally got my tags and teased the tag lady about eggnog, and from there hopped a taxi to campus where I gathered all my painting supplies from the art building, played a little Tekken 4 and then grabbed the city bus home. Den came over for a while and watched Invader Zim while I packed and then my dad got in and the three of us went to dinner and then I personally drove dad and I home to NC! Yes me! Made it in 2 3/4 hours, too; not bad at all. And I am so damn tired that I'll go to bed, and tomorrow I'll talk about Tekken 4 and the Harry Potter movie and EEEE SEE BECCA ^____^

Fuck Ayumi Hamasaki, because the Seeker mini-album that me and Becca chipped in for forever ago finally arrived and oh-- MY-- god, the two new songs on it are sweeeet. I'm so glad they aren't ballads. This was the surprise Becca was teasing me with, and she was the one who spoiled it for me, so does that mean that I did hold out?
I have my last two exams tomorrow, please wish me luck!

Becca says she has a surprise for me and posted it right there in her journal for me to read! That is so evil. She says I can see it when I get in town this weekend, so it's a matter of me not cracking and reading it until then. And by fucking golly I'm gonna make it. You see this Becca? I AM UNCRACKABLE.

Yeah baby yeah! I had my Art Hist exam today and I think I did good, baby! The prompt I chose for my essay was, basically, "use six artists within the four periods of American Art to illustrate the evolution of self-portraiture while considering for each the importance of cultural movements and European artistic influences." And that's what I did. Kinda makes me feel smart. I got out much later than I expected and ended up having to take a taxi home, but that's alright. I rewarded myself by goofing off all night; I guess tomorrow I'll get to study for my two exams on Wednesday. ^_^; I downloaded a new Ayumi Hamasaki song before I could stop myself, "Unite," and now I'm in the middle of a big Ayumi throwback. This shit is kinda okay once in a while, you know?

Manna got here Friday night and planned to leave Sunday morning but ended up staying until this morning (Wednesday) because neither of us wanted her to go. ._. We had an awesome superfantastic time, and I can't wait to visit her over winter break! Which, speaking of, is exactly a week away for me. Kind of scary, really. I got three exams-- Anthro, Multicul Lit and American Art, to get ready for over the weekend. Wish me luck! I'm also very happy because tonight Den and I had an awesome dinner date at Ashford Manner, and because when Manna was here I bought the FFVI Grand Finale CD which rules and a VCR, finally. Eeeee I'm so happy. What an awesome five-day weekend.
By the way, rent Pitch Black because Vin Diesel is a total honey.
